This experiment is based on an enhanced engine for 'collision prevention', which was also used in the Steer experiment. You can draw a net by dragging the mouse cursor on the applet. Be careful not to stretch the net too much, because the Units can fit through the gaps. Click the button to enable the Units' sensory systems. Built with Processing (www.processing.org).
Pretty neat. They will even navigate a spiral if you make it wide enough, but make the gap too thin and they think they're completely enclosed and just wonder around looking at the walls frantically. :)
