39 Seconds to beat the Guru. Although the 'friendly fire' is a good idea, you can set your ship at an angle where you don't take any damage. And so, you can blast away at The Guru until its shields drop, then shoot again.

I killed it in 52 seconds by getting it to come to my side, putting my shield up, aiming at it, waiting for it to start powering down, then shooting, and repeating (computer puts his shield back on whenever he takes damage.)
